In many ways, this Easter will be like no other that most of us have experienced. On Sunday, churches in China and all over the world are supposed to be filled with people celebrating the empty tomb.
Instead, this year they will be empty, and that brings with it a certain sadness.
Yet, even as we mourn the emptiness of our church buildings, we still celebrate the emptiness of the grave. Easter is, after all, a celebration of emptiness. If the grave were not empty, we would have no hope.
Everything hinges on the emptiness of the tomb.
As you and your family celebrate Easter this year, may the sadness of your empty church building remind you of the joy of the empty tomb.
On behalf of the ChinaSource team, Happy Easter!
