Bill Tsang is currently Director of Research at Youth Global Network (YGN) where he conducts policy action research among migrant youth in China in the area of education and migration. He is also an honorary research associate at the Wah Ching Centre of Research on education in China at The University of Hong Kong, and a visiting professor at East China Normal University in Shanghai. He cofounded Lumina College in Hong Kong that hosts US masters programs from Wheaton College, Asbury University, and Cairn University—programs integrating Christian faith and academic disciplines.
Prior to his work with YGN, he was an assistant professor in the Department of Social Work at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Bill received his doctorate in human development and psychology from Harvard University, his masters of arts in counseling psychology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He specializes in the education opportunities, migration experience, achievement motivation, and social identity of migrant youth in China.
