The Books That Shaped My Thinking in 2025
Keeping a record is not about accumulating more, but about digesting and sorting through. Only when we attempt to rearticulate the insights of others do they truly become nourishment for our own thinking.
David Doong (董家驊牧師) is the General Secretary of the Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelization (CCCOWE).
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from National Taiwan University, and earned both his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology degrees from Fuller Theological
Seminary.
Pastor Doong has served in ministry in the United States since 2006. In 2018, he returned to Taiwan to pastor a local church and teach at various theological institutions. He assumed his current role as General Secretary of CCCOWE in 2021. He also hosts the Missional Discipleship radio interview series.
He is the author of Discipleship in the 21st Century and Missional Discipleship in the 21st Century, and the editor of The Workplace Life of Missional Disciples.
Pastor Doong understands his vocation as that of a bridge-builder—seeking to connect the mission of the church with the everyday work of Christians, and to link lived faith with engagement in the public sphere.
