Wei-Jing Zhu was born in Guangzhou, China, and grew up in New York City. He
received a BA degree in physics from Harvard College, Cambridge, MA, in 1991 and
a PhD degree in physics from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in 1998. He has been
conducting research in natural language understanding since 1999 at IBM T.J. Watson
Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY.; VP of Research at Two Sigma Investments;
and currently the CEO of a faith-based company which apply cutting edge technology in AI, Machine Learning and Natural Language Understanding to Faith, Discipleship and Christian Living.
