Dr. Zha Changping is a critic and biblical scholar based in Chengdu. He teaches New Testament at Sichuan University’s Center for Christian Studies, with research interests in art criticism, biblical studies, and the logic of history.
He holds a PhD from Renmin University of China, an MA in aesthetics from Sichuan Normal University, and a BA in Japanese Language and Literature from Sichuan University. He works with English, Japanese, Greek, and Hebrew sources.
Dr. Zha’s major works include The Logic of Japanese History (1995); History and Logicand The Cultural Logic of Humanitology(2007); Introduction to the Logic of the New Testament World-Picture, vol. 1 (2011); The Humane Thinking of Contemporary Arts(2008); A History of Ideas in Pioneering Contemporary Chinese Art (two volumes, 2017); Humanist Criticism of Contemporary Art (2019); and Ecological Art in Humanist Criticism (2021). He has also translated Christianity and Western Thought, vol. 1, and other works on Christianity and modern Japanese society.
