Over the past year, Ritual Studio has had the privilege of walking alongside the ChinaSource team as they reflected on how this work is presented and carried forward. Our role has been a supporting one—listening carefully, learning the history, and helping give form to values that have long guided ChinaSource’s work.
A new ChinaSource website is coming—shaped by listening, conversation, and a shared desire to explore Chinese Christianity together.
The journey from mythmaking to mission entails putting aside our chosen metanarratives, seeing with fresh eyes and listening with fresh ears, not only to the facts as we perceive them but also to the narratives of those in the stories as they interpret their own reality.
As the experience of China’s church demonstrates, the gifts of Advent seem to come strangely wrapped. The gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love are received through suffering and sacrifice.
Advancing the Gospel in this generation requires that God’s people around the globe join hands and work together. ChinaSource helps enable the church in China to be part of this process, ensuring that the voice of our Chinese brothers and sisters is included in the global conversation.
In an era of accelerating change, ChinaSource continues its twenty-eight-year legacy as the vital connection point between China's believers and the worldwide Christian community.
Though Chinese house churches experience ongoing and intensifying restrictions, they have begun to develop sending structures to support cross-cultural missionaries. Even churches that have been forced to close are still finding ways to support missionaries that they have sent.
She lifted others, not for recognition, but for the sake of God’s kingdom.
We’ve decided to turn back a page in our history and restore the name of our flagship publication from ChinaSource Quarterly back to ChinaSource Journal.

Rudolf was all of these—a dear brother in Christ who left an indelible impression on those with whom he served. His vision and unstoppable determination to seek the expansion of Christ’s kingdom in China were instrumental in shaping ChinaSource into the organization it is today.
